Your shares may be marked ‘Untradable’ if:
- Your buy order is matched with a sell order by a Seller who is a Direct Shareholder of that particular company. As all Direct Shareholders’ share quantities are listed individually and explicitly on SSM, any changes will need to be processed and published by SSM before the new share ownership can be reflected on our system. Therefore, your newly purchased shares are considered on hold and unavailable for trading for the time being, until the share transfer process is completed.
- You are the Founder or promoter (major Direct Shareholder) of that company. Founders and promoters of a listed company are subjected to a 6-months moratorium from the day the counter is first traded. Your shares will be marked as Tradable upon moratorium expiry.
